Island Magic 50k plate

Well, what a weekend...Deano's 50k Plate curse same again. Fastest on track pretty much all weekend and the diff breaks in the final race.. :(

The Honda was just ace fun to drive. Had a ball Friday. Pissed down Saturday so they gave us our Sat race Sunday morning. Jammed in between the other 2 races that were 2 hours apart. Broke a Rear CV on the warm up of race 1. Borrowed some parts to repair it. Missed race 2 because of the quick turn around then managed to get back out for Race 3 only to have a wicked vibration from the patched up driveshaft.. Sucked it up for a few laps but didn't want to finish the weekend hanging it off the fence so stopped for a beer instead..Still rapt I got to drive it though...

Then there was Loz. Finished every race again.. Did a great job and finshed 7th? maybe for the weekend.. I'm thinking that she should be driving full time instead of me from now on..100% finishing rate in a Sports Sedan is a great effort..

Congrats to Robbo for a great drive to not only win the 50k plate but also the Vic state championship... :D

So Dean calls me a couple of months ago and asks what diff's i am using and I tell him I have 2 of those special limited slip ones that cost a truckload and one torsen that feels just the same to drive and costs a lot less.

His diff man says the torsens I use are no good and it will break so Dean probably buys the expensive one and his breaks.

Funny about that. My cheap torsen is still good though.

Sad to hear Cammy, maybe next year.
