With so many RX7s its hard not to get confused!! I'll try my best to fill in the blanks on what I can figure out with the cars that were based in NSW.
Also around what actually occured with the Carling Sr20 powered S4 and the muilti coloured car raced by Terry Shiels. From what I was told both may have been destroyed. One by fire at Eastern Creek and the other in an accident at Mallala.
As I understand it was the same car powered by a Nissan FJ20 turbo engine.
If I remember correctly Terry Shiel debuted the car (it was owned by John Keen) at an AMSCAR meet run by the ARDC at Eastern Creek, results of the race are here:
Sport Sedan Race Eastern Creek 1997
Sheil also raced at the final round of the 1997 O'Brien Series Aluminum series where he ran pretty well. The following year in 1998 Keith Carling raced the car (now painted yellow) in the National Championship until he crashed at Malalla and pretty much wrote it off, that was the end of that car.
This is Carling orginal car which I am not sure where it ended up.
Yeah that one is a mystery, remember seeing it in the early 1990s at Amaroo but not much more after that unless it resurfaced as another car???
I think these are all the same car. Shiels (John Keen owned) car which then was owned by Barrett and then sold on maybe even to Carling. Not sure if this car was then destroyed at Mallala by Carling or caught fire at E'Creek never to been seen again.

Those photos are all of the same car but Sheil's and Barrett's are two different cars. It's made even more confusing because they both at one stage although it was years apart had a near identical paint scheme!
Anyway if you look at the results I posted in the link from the race in 1997 at Eastern Creek the two cars actually ran in the same race. Another thing to consider is that Sheil's car was right hand drive and Barrett's was left hand drive.
Also for some reason I think John Keen originally owned Barrett's car and had Terry Sheil drive it because if you look at the Eastern Creek website for lap records you see:
2001cc-3000cc Terry Shiel Mazda RX-7 1:36.4200 29/09/91.
As far as I can remember I first saw Paul Barrett's car run at Oran Park at a NSWRRC meeting in mid 1992, I am guessing that pic you have posted of it is more then likely at the Eastern Creek round of the ASSC in 1992? I also heard it had a bad fire at Eastern Creek and as such has never been at the track again.
Are these two one and the same which is the Simon Longhurst car now??

Yes this car is the same car that is now run by Simon Longhurst. It was first run and owned by Llynden Reithmuller and first raced about 12 years ago with the Endless signage.
I am pretty sure there was two cars going around with Cosworth power, one of which was a colourscan built car.
Yeah that is correct one of the Colurscan cars also had a Sierra turbo motor, the other was the one now raced by Longhurst.
Then there was the IMSA spec car imported by Mark Williams which may be Schwenke's car now and may also be this one that was for the sale a while ago. Or are all these separate cars.

Mark William's car and Schwenke's car are two different ones. I've never seen Williams car only read about it in a magazine years ago (wasn't it a 3 rotor turbo?). I believe Schwenke's car originated out of Melbourne, was first naturally aspirated but now has a 13B turbo motor and runs it in the NSW state series.
Pretty sure Mikac's was a Go-Gear car too and I read that it is different to Polovic's car despite them looking very similar.

Yep Mikac's is a Go Gear car and was the first east coast based one to give the V8s a real scare. Polovic's as far as I can tell is near identical although it runs a 12A turbo where as Mikacs has a 20B PP, they both run Hewlands, similair suspension setups etc
Norm Stokes car. I think he still owns it but its history??.

Not sure who owned this car, it may be Norm Stokes by the colour scheme
The 3 above pics are all of the Norm Stokes car which he had built in the mid 1990s, not sure who did it though. Has had the funny pink and green paint for years but now it is painted blue, he still runs it at NSW state series every now and then.
