Hi all, I was trying to remember what year a longer distance race was held at AIR, also included co drivers? Was it a annual event or a one off? Thinking it was Matt Wacker and Larry Kogge in the ex Moffat rx7in 1985?. Any info would be good, laps, entrants what years it ran, any one who ran the event how cars went with the longer race.
Thanks to those for help with my previous inquiry regarding engine removal of mid mount engines and torque tubes. Sedanfan.

It was called the Super Sedan Challenge and had a compulsory pit stop / driver change but did not actually have to change drivers. In 1989 it was contested over 60 laps at AIR and only 11 cars fronted for the race. Monterosso's Escort was on pole but did not start leaving Ward and Rosenburg on the front row. They finished 1st and second.

I only have one article on it. It may have run in other years but I dont have anything about those. The twin city challenges were quite popular back in the 80's with WA / SA and a lot of Sports Sedans competed in the Wanneroo 300.
