A silly thought....

I just had a bit of a silly thought after reviewing some of the footage i took at Morgan park.

Why don't the cars run a LED light similar to the v8 super cars "pit" light (located in the corner of the windscreen) to indicate what category the car is in. Ie a Open sports sedan has a green and under 3500 has a red etc.

It would make it a hell of a lot easier for the viewing public to tell what is going on. And a lot easier for the commentators to just say a open car runs a green light a under 3500 runs a blah blah so people new to seeing sports sedans can pick up the classes alot quicker. It wouldn't cost that much and it would be easy to make them.

Just a thought out loud... What do you guys think?

A silly thought....

Excellent idea.

I had some "S2" windsreen labels made up but they looked to confusing so we took it off.

Here in Victoria we have different colour windscreen banners for different capacity classes at state level.

I do like your light idea though.

Even if no light maybe a 50mm coloured disc on the screen could work?
