What year does the historic sports sedan age cut in...???
I thought it was 1984...?
I saw this add saying the car will be historic soon... I thought it was prior to 1984 and that was it, I didnt think the date changes...???

I was always under the impression it was for cars with a log book pre 1986, the car also has to be presented in its original state from the period. Maybe give CAMS a ring and find out what the deal is.

Have just purchased an LJ Torana (pretty much a basket case) but has the origonal log book.
About a 2 year resto I reckon.

Thats it, know nothing about the car, have written to previous owners address's to establish build spec's etc, keen to get it 'as was' so any help very much appreciated. Have no idea of it's performance and cannot find any photos.

Lance "Jack" Hughes ran the car in the early 1990s mostly at Oran Park, pretty sure it had a Holden 202 motor in it. He's up in Queensldand these days but his old panel shop in western Sydney might be able to pass his details on to you. I am sure he'd be pretty helpful in answering your questions about the car, he has always been a top bloke.

Log book says it was fitted with a 5 liter, that has been crossed out and 327 substituted, so need to get to the bottom of it.
Thanks , yes I will contact the old firm and see what I can glean from them/ him.
He owned it from 7/90 thru 9/92
The log book photo is in the same valvoline livery.
Apparently it fell off the transporter, RH guard and front missing, guards are glass, assume front was also - need to find replacements/ repairer.
Currently white, no mechanicals, bent diff housing, no windows and no guard and front as previously mentioned.
Pick it up Wednesday so will put up some photo's.

Muzz,
I used to own that car, bought it off Paul Neilson with a 327 chev. I sold it on as a roller to some bloke in Sydney a few years later. The only things we did with it were hillclimbs, supersprints etc. I'll post some pics i have of it later.
