Hi Tim, David was quite active at a national level a few years back in the Calibra. The car from what I recall was built by himself in Tas and not one of the original Calibra's. He had a sign up displaying some build pics when it raced and I may of taken a pic of it. Will see if I can find it for you. The car also appeared in Zoom magazine. Not sure what engine configs it has had over the years.

Have seen this car many times as troy mentioned at national events and also a few NSW state rounds, would be a pretty quick car in the right hands, think it ran a chev originally and had a doge slotted in a couple of years ago...

So whats the general consensus regarding engines these days. (Still new to the rules of SS).
Is a large HP & cubed v8 going to be a better option compared to a 20B Turbo, or TT V6.
Are there any rule changes in the wind that i should be aware of.
Tim

Ok, I found the pic I took from Oran Park in 2007. Unfortunately Photobucket is not co-operating so will try and upload it tomorrow.

Depends who you speak to, chevs are reliable and parts are generally readily available because they are so common, turbo rotors and v6's are great for the class as it brings variety but they don't generally have a lot of reliability, comes down to personal preference, I personally cant wait to see Liams Hyundai cracking and running consistent with the supercharged sr20, and nicks rx7 should be a rocket with k series Honda turbo power...

Thanks Nadz, plenty to think about when choosing a car to run.
Will keep my head down searching.
