Voights car is the original Carling chassis with a thousand changes no doubt since then.
Chances of going to Tassie is slim, as it is in Perth. Just to far for the predominately eastern based teams. The time off work required for owner and crew plus the cost means very weak fields at those venues.
Given the crowds that attend it would be cheaper to import the spectators to the east!!!!!!!!!!!!

Keith Carlings series 4 RX7 with a Nissan FJ20 turbo motor was as has already been said written off at Mallala back in the late 1990s (1998 I think), Terry Sheil also drove it for a few meetings in 1997 before this happened.

Colin Hill Engineering in Canberra built the series 6 RX7 with a Nissan SR20 turbo motor for Carling ( I suppose some bits were salvaged from the wrecked S4 RX7??? not 100% sure on that).
This was was then bought by John Keen, driven by Terry Sheil and then Neil McFaden and then bought and raced by Bobby Ervin.
