We got the weather we always wait for to be truely competitive and to run wide on the only corner on the track that had a river running behind the ripple strip ending our chances was disappointing, considering I cannot blame anyone except myself!!

I have not seen so much water and mud come up through the car from the incar footage :o

BIG congratulations to "The Great One" for the Clem Smith Cup, Round and Kerrick Award wins.
Too early to retire now young fella!

We will regroup and try again at Queensland Raceway in a few months.

If we had the magic to "put our finger" on the reliability issues of course we would. The fact is these are highly stressed racing cars being run with very modest budgets so there will always be some unreliability.

We had a broken axle and I assume we also have a broken diff post Q2. We had a spare diff, spare axles, spare drive flanges and drive balls and spare bearings....all of which were damaged. Trouble was we could not extract the damaged parts from the car to fit the replacement parts. We absolutely tried everything possible at the track with help from my crew and Damian Johnsons crew (thanks guys) but nothing budged.

We will have to cut up the housing to get it apart. Short of having a replacement housing all fitted out like a supercar team would have this sort of damage means we end up sitting out the competition for the weekend.

So I guess the answer is more $$$$ through sponsors so we can carry a full inventory of spares, then we need a bigger transporter to get it all there so more $$$ for that as well. A few hundred thou should do it !!!!! Any takers?

Guess the class is just havin a bad run at the moment.... At least we have just over 3 months till next round, gives everyone plenty of time to get the problems fixed.... And to give other cars a dust off and out on the track to play...
