I agree. The more new cars out there with diferent levels of budget and speed should only encourage more growth. Morgan Park was a great example with the local cars having a good go. It is a shame the EC grid is a b it shorter than expected, but nearly half of the field are NSW state cars.... but only the fast ones....

Hey guy's, I'm afraid that's it as far as a grid list for EC. I just hope that we don't loose anyone between now and September 10th. :(

Car is loaded, spares are packed :D
Just that exciting 10 hour drive on Thursday night to go.........................

Does anyone have a local weather forecast for next weekend?
Internet is saying clearing showers Friday and windy Saturday.

See you there!

MrBoost our round black things will be enduring their 4th National round :(

I cannot wait to see the looks on the scrutineers when they come to mark them.............again!

Depending on how they cope with this weekend, they may well be still on there for Sandown after another State round in between. :o :o

This is what we need to do to be able to enter for both National and State Series' for this year.

Besides with no one to play with, there is no point to update them ;)

However, any donations would be greatly appreciated.

your a lucky man! if i used the same tyres after 4 rounds id be facing backwards off the start line with the way my car delivers its power! i stretch them to 3 rounds but anything past that is for casual testing (running in an engine or something) i remember my 2L sports sedan i ran the same tyres for 6-7 rounds and they had dropped about 1.5 seconds over that time they were great!

now that people have been using the michelins for a few rounds how are they finding them? what are they like after they have done a round and some testing etc? some of us state guys are interested just for the longevity. if we can buy 1 set of michelins instead of 2 sets of dunlops its a saving that might get more of us on national grids!

The last time I tried to save money by using old tyres I couldn't keep the thing straight at all and ended up hitting the bridge at Oran Park and cost me around 10K.
I think this weekend will be a good comparison between the 2 tyre brands. Chris Jackson and I are usually pretty close when we race together and I'll be using Michelin's and Chris will be on Dunlops.
We are still trying different things with car set up to get the most out of them, but haven't really done enough miles to see

Still willing to take donations of 290/625/16 and 310/650/16 with less miles than mine ;)

Yes our old tyres do make things interesting some times, however as I said earlier these are the sacrifices we make to be able to afford to participate in all these meetings.

I just drive the car to the conditions we have on the tyre condition we end up with.

We know there is typically 2-3 seconds per lap with new? tyres.

I would rather race on 4 meeting old tyres than look at the car sitting in the garage at home.

So any donations out there?
