Hi Profi,

My name is Paul Hibberd & I'll be gridding up in 2009.

I intend & plan on doing the Nationals & Qld State rounds.

I'd like to know how many more State level cars (all states) are going to compete in the Nationals.

If we get the numbers it will make for a good competition.

I would also be happy to run one of our Qld state rounds at a Shannons National round.

Another idea would be to formally pair a National level team, driver & car up with a State level team, driver & car.

This would be great for many reasons, but mostly it would mix people and get both the National level (1st Division)& State level (2nd Division) guys talking & showing an interest in each other.

I for one would appreciate the liasion with 1st Division team, as this support would improve our preformance both on & off the track.
It would also assist the 1st Division cars to negotiate the 2nd Division cars on the the track as competitors would be more familar with each other.

Anyway enough for my first post.

I look forward to racing and have a load of fun in 2009.

Happy NYE

:D

Hi Nadz,

Thanks.

We going to run the our little Datsun 1000 Coupe which we rebuilt & redesigned in 2006.

I race in Qld.

The car was previously raced by Gary Hamilton. Some of you may remember it exploded a clutch in the support race to the V8s at QR, I think it was 1999.

It was green and purple. I then got the car in 2004, raced it '04 & some of '05, then we decided to make a "few small changes".

After 18 long months, the car is now LHD, 3/4 framed with only the orginal roof, ABC pillars, and doors spared.

It is nothing like the orginal race car.

I raced the car with a 13B BP & a supra box until June '08.

In June '08, Geoff Gillespie provided us with a Holinger S6 box.

We are currently plonking a 20B in from Phil Laird, which we plan to test in late Feb/early March.

Steve Manning from CPWS (Custom Performance Wiring Service), looks after the MoTec & the data.

It is a great 2nd Division car, hence, I'd love to see more cars hit the track.

How many more State level or 2nd Division cars are competing in the Nationals next year?

Post a reply & lets get together!!
