I am in Melbourne both cars are in very poor condition on the up
side i have all the parts the Rogers car will be restored as a sporty
the globe car is going back to being a improved tourer as it was where it
enjoyed most success and was a nicer car

Is Des Walls old torana the car that was here in Adelaide owned by James Rosenberg. The car was blue when raced here with Gawler farm machinery down the side. What is its history ex HDT. Where is it now. reason for asking is a guy here has some bits left over from a dismantled sports sedan LX sedan that was made into a new car. He says a Commodore VS. ????

The Rosenberg LH Sports Sedan may have HDT History. Rosenberg swapped his ex Grice/Stack Group C Commodore (and a spare ReCar shell) with James Bartch for the Torana. The story is that Bartch purchased the LH off Peter Peters in Vic. Peters built the car from a damaged ex HDT shell given to him by Harry Firth. Peters was a part of the "Middleborough Gang" Gown Hindaugh/Scorcher Ignition/etc...

I believe the Rosenberg LH chassis has become the VS Commodore that Bob McLoughlan from QLD currently runs.
Bob will know where the shell ended up after the body update.
If I remember I will ask when we are at Morgan Park at the next round.

I think the Rosenberg / Bartsch LH car was turned into a VN Commodore by Mick Monterosso that is now run by Dave Brennsell Bobs VS was Rosenbergs old VL Commodore. I think the rest of the Torana was made into an LX Torana Hatchback by Mark Halliwell and raced here in Adelaide sold to Maiolo Bros then Simon Pfitzner before being sold on.

I found some photos in some boxes at home of Micks car at Trump engineering being converted to the Commodore and i have some photos somewhere of Marks Torana in build stage, i will upload them when i get a chance.

The VL of Rosenburgs which is now part of Bob Mcloughlins car was a Steves Toyshop car that Steve himself used to race many years ago. Its started its life as the Black and Pink VL.

This is a Marina advertised for sale only a few years back. Is it still around??
There were 3 (or were they all the one car) that raced that come to mind: Bernie Watt, Noel Delforce & Gordon Mitchell. You would think this car would have to be one of them.

What about the Glen Jones Falcon from NSW? It had an engine in it from an old Group C race car as he wrote into AMC magazine once.

What about the Warwick Henderson Corvette. Screen scrapes from the 1982 Marboro 50K series at Sandown. One wild looking car.
