Are these one and the same or is the Woodward car now owned by Croston??

The 2 cars above are completely different cars. I remember reading an old Zoom magizine that showed the Woodwards car and explaining the build up. I think the colour was metallic blue over siver or vice versa.
There is a big write up on Damian Crostons car in the magazine Race issue 19.

I bought this car from Sydney in i thought around 1997 from that exact ad, my mates are saying it was around 1992. I bought it less engine and gearbox but had been fitted out for a Holden V6. It was still in the same colours as you see here. JD do you know what year that ad is from ? I sold it to a guy here in Adelaide around 2000. It was still how it looked in the photo.
I have never seen the car or heard from the guy again.

Russell then sold this car to Eric Purtill (2nd picture below) who added the SuperCharger to the Gemini Engine and had a lot of reliability issues at first but eventually got it sorted out...

JD do you know what year that ad is from ?

That was from 2001. It appears to me to resemble the Desisto car going by the rear flares. He was trying to sell his Gemini in the late 90's. If it is the case then it may be possible that he bought it back and it is now the green hulk car or alternatively that is a completely different car again.

What running gear does the Mark Smith Gemini run. It's a very tough looking bit of gear. I think he used to work for tropic coast racing in Nascar in the early 90s.

Sounds about right, memory is fading but was that when Norm Chong was with them to and Dale Williams iirc. Crew Cheif Lloyd?

Just to update your forum, The Mark Tarrant Gemini from Caberra was purchased by Randall Haswell from Brisbane in 2005 run in hillclimbs and sprint races then sold to Russell Murfin in 2008 when Randall Haswell purchased the Steve Shiels Commodore.
