car of the 'future' rear end

Postby MrBoost » Mon Sep 12, 2011 6:44 pm

Ive heard from 2 people now with two different reasons that the car of the future v8 supercar thing is now going to have a live rear end???

the first reason i heard was that no company wanted to make the transaxle for the ridiculous price v8 supercar wanted to pay.
the newest excuse was that setting up the irs for different tracks all the time was too painfull??? what the f%&k???

does anybody know anything new???

The prototype car run an albins transaxle, they are fairly well priced too at around the 25k mark...

Is this new news about the live axles?

I'm not sure to be honest, but they seem to be a fairly stout piece with a 10" crown wheel.

quick look on the internet, i found this, though the article is from April.
