Race fuel

Postby accomotors » Tue Jun 19, 2012 4:39 pm

Just wondering if you guys could help me out some? For the Rover V8 and also a 308 HQ historic touring car I'm building I am wondering which fuel everybody uses and where they get it so I can go about putting the motors together to suit. I was under the impression that I was able to get AVGAS at an airport using my CAMS license but it seems that is not the case anymore judging by the responses from airports I've enquired at? I don't particularly feel like paying the $6/L some companies want for racing fuel so I thought I'd ask where everyone here gets their juice?

Thanks!

We use JFP105 (Cheetah Race Fuels) unleaded available here in Melbourne.

The Folden made more power and longer spark plug life than when we were using AVGAS.

Extreemly happy and Mario is a great guy to deal with. ;)
