What I would prefer to do is.
Yes a 4.5 NA Multi valve V8
Under the 975 rule do you say that will be accepted in tge 2015 season.
I agree it will be a miracle to get a podium that way but really want to do it differently.
I may have to get a Chassis better than anything else to ballance the lower hp by about 150 to 200 hp which is huge.
I hope the organisation will realise that if they want the field to grow
They should allow a more equally suitable rules which they can do by allowing the smaller engines to compensate with a higher rev limit like 10.500 rpm
That should get me 650 to 680 hp
Bringing the hp difference to 80 - 100 hp
This could be bridged with a propper chassis suspension package to compensate for the lower hp.
I didnt say that the rules will change im not sure what they doing with the rules, we are just building a car at the moment ourselves.
Building a better chassis it not such an easy thing. The guys winning it are not doing it from shear hp alone. They have the best of everything out there and they can drive them as well. I understand you wanting to do it what your doing and Im the same sort of mentality but when your coming on the straight at qr is that lesser weight going to be enough to over come the hp deficiet. if you think yes then go for it and build the 4.5 I would love to see it out there. Maybe look at the vk56 as a viable option as well I know nismo used to make them scream
