And some more.............anyone recognize the red Escort, heard its an ex Lansvale Smash car? the red Camaro of Jarrett is the Templer car running today.
Is the Bob Jane monaro the car that Tino leo raced???. Also i remember a car that raced at the nsw road racing club meets driver was Graham Booth i think falcon very similar to jim Richards. Got some photos but have to scan and post on here...
#44 Datsun 240Z 6L Chev Sequential Hollinger..... (I Wish)....:p
Yeah I am pretty sure Graham Booth owns the ex Jim Richards Falcon (Tony Hubbard in Victoria also ran this car in the 1980s).
From what I remember Booth also had another XB Falcon that he used to run in the early 1990s. At one NSWRRC race meeting he had a collision at Oran Park South turn one with a Torana. The Falcon basically cut the whole nose cone off the Torana and kept on racing, it was that strong!!! The Torana though didn't look too pretty afterwards!!
To be honest I wouldn't have a clue if they're the same car. What I do know though is the fiberglass doors, bonnet and bootlid off the Craven Mild Paul Older car still live on today in another BMW 2002 Sport Sedan!!
Hey JD earlier in the thread you talked about the Pantera and where it might of gone. This is what i found on a forum.
QUOTE:What about the car of Vern Hamilton wasn't that F2 from around 1975 ? Then there were the 4
Sports Cars
1 SR781 Bob Hinrichs the only 4 cyl one made
2 Chris Clearihan V8 using M10 McLaren bits
3 Steve Webb using bits of Bartletts Lola F5000
4 Bap Romano Cosworth V8 EX Tyrell

I can remember seeing a Pantera shell in his shed at Sumner Park that he was working on as well. Complete rolling spaceframe along side.
What was that, where did it go and who was it for?
I spoke to Barry Lock last night and he mentioned the Pantera , next time i will ask him about it . With his own car it was more M7 than M4 using M14 front uprights / M10 rear uprights and the steering wheel was from one of Denny Hulme's cars , it also used a McLaren fuel cell behind the drivers back and as for the car being sold to Bob Power was not right it was sold to Rob Hinrichs first.

Could Barry give us a list of the single-seaters he built? It looks like there were only four of five so it should be possible to work out when they first raced and who had which car.
SO JD I WAS TALKING TO A GUY WHO THINKS HE REMEMBERS THE PANTERA BEING STRIPPED AND THE BODY BEING BOUGHT BY JOHN HUGHES HERE IN ADELAIDE FOR SPEEDWAY DUTIES UNDER THE SCOTCHER PETROLEUM SPONSOR, THAT THEN WAS SOLD ON AND THE BODY WAS BOUGHT BY A DRAG RACER HERE IN ADELAIDE WHO MADE A MOULD FOR HIS DRAG CAR. I KNOW THIS GUY, GREG BROWN AND HERE IS A PICTURE OF THE CAR NOW. WHEN I SEE GREG NEXT ILL ASK HIM FOR ANY MORE INFO.

You need to get yourself down to the Newagent Nadz and grab a copy of the last Australian Muscle Car before the new issue comes out. Gives you a full run down on the Jane Monaro which was sold on to Tino Leo. Tino Leo did have two Monaro's / Kingswoods though. He also raced the ex Mal Ramsay Kingswood. This car was owned by Brian Thomson, David Birks and Bill Seiders until it had a wall collapse in a storm and destroy it. Pretty when Tino had the car it was painted up exactly the same colour scheme as when he raced the Jane Monaro. The Ramsay car was actually a 4dr made to look like a 2dr.
The Red escort posted earlier I think you will find has Barry Jamieson at the wheel.
Very interesting about the Panters. Perhaps the mystery has been solved Deective HTC. I am sure I read an article on that Scorcher Petroleum Speedway Pantera is AMC. I just flicked through my collection and could not find the article. Will have another look over the weekend. The interesting thing about the Pantera is that it had the engine out if Jim Richards Big M Falcon in it (Gurney Westlake),
