No somebody lost a heap of oil half way around turn 1.
I saw the oil flag but didn't know what was on the track until it was too late.
I had been losing time on turn 1 to Chris all weekend and with Chris right behind me, I should have just slowed down more when I saw the oil flag.
Easily said in hindsight though.
I couldn't get around the oil at the speed we were doing and I don't think Chris would have even seen it where he was and we both went flying off the track but didn't hit each other.

new coloured race seat? jeez you were lucky to get away with the damage you did!

Ha yeah I haven't had a good look at the seat yet but it certainly gets the heart racing leaving the track at around 250.
Steve has the Camaro going pretty quick now and it's an awesome thing to drive!!
He is getting close to 800hp out of it now so it wheelspins in 3rd and 4th gear no probs if I get too excited on throttle.
We had a spare front end and got back to 2nd behind Chris in the last race but my fire extinguisher came loose and was rolling around my feet and pedals.
I couldn't reach it with my belts on so I stopped racing before I done some more damage.
Chris had a pretty good lead by then anyhow as he got from eighth on the grid to 1st before turn 1 and I got held up a bit on the 1st lap.
It was a frustrating weekend but we know the car is quick and looking forward to the nationals at Wakefield soon.
It will be interesting to see what times Tony and Darren will do around there with the new track surface. We got to 0.01 off the lap record last time we raced there so there will certainly be some fast racing and 17 laps!!

800?? cool, do you know what that equates to at the wheels of your car or has it only come from an engine dyno?

17 laps? what have you heard? will ther ebe a 17 lapper? geez will the tank hold that much juice?

Na thats from the engine not the wheels.
It's down as three 17 lap races but it is only a short track which will be around 17 minutes racing.
We should just make it for fuel but it will be close.
The tyres will be struggling by the end of the weekend though im thinking

We got to 59.11 when we there for round 5 of the state series. I thought the record was 59.1 but I know the track should be faster than it has been unless we have more issues with oil
