Hey 2002 found this picture. Seen it on youtube. Great looking car.

Yeah I agree it is quite a nice looking car, we seem to have the same taste in cars HTC!!!
I actually saw that particular car when it came to Sydney for the BMW art car exhibition in 2007 along with a few other old ex factory BMW race cars. They raced it at Le Mans one year too with the funky paint job, pretty sure it just ran an N/A. 2 litre BMW M12 motor which was still good for over 300 bhp back then, car was pretty light too.
The ones they ran in IMSA had a turbocharged 2 litre engine and they went pretty hard, they had be quick to as they raced against Chev Monza and Porsche 935s,

This one is also an all time favourite of mine, twin turbo 3.5 litre DOHC 6 cylinder making a lazy 900 bhp back in the late 1970s.....check out the rear wheels!!!!

They look like the old Dick Johnson XE group C greens-tuf rear wheels.

Are they 19s. The outer looks identical.

to run reliably, with no heat issues and no constant rebuilding, with turbo's running well within there happy place(i.e low boost), id say 800bhp

anyone know what a top chev makes at the wheels in a sports sedan? all numbers always seem to be quoted at the flywheel. our car only ever gets the pleasure of a chassis dyno so we can never actually compare. i dont think theres any point saying what numbers we make till we make a number that we know is actually reliable. i mean sure we can screw in a ton of boost and probably make 800 at the tyres, but it wont last very long, if it even gets off the dyno!

Hey all...
Only just came across this forum... good to see there are people still out there building cars!
With all categories struggling for numbers nowdays and the entries Ive seen so far for Wakefield park, we need to get as many cars on the track as possible!

Unfortunately when you see John spend 2-3 years of his life building the Audi that Hossack drives, you ask your self "do I really have that much spare time?... and Money!"

Anyway lets help out as many people as we can to get them on the track...

PS- By the way HTC, Id love to have the FX going this year but unfortunately cant see that completed till early next year :(
Keep me in the loop with what you work out for local SA racing (club meetings etc)... I know the National guys would love some more support when they come to town... Plus would be good to see some Local Sports Sedan racing again... hasnt really been any for years...??
