Hi all,

Found just the right thread for this one!

National Competitor Shane Bradford has recently purchased the ex-Alan Ferguson Camaro Transam from New Zealand.

This car is a genuine Riley & Scott Camaro, raced by Jack Baldwin in the US Transam Championship in 1993 where the car finished 3rd. It was sold to New Zealand and raced very successfully by Craig Baird who drove for Alan, both in New Zealand and in a few races in the US in 2000/2001. Craig actually finished 2nd in Las Vegas to Boris Said back in the BF Goodrich Series in either 2000/2001 in this car.

Below is a photo of a diecast model of the car in it's 1993 Livery. We've also purchased a Revell 1:24th Scale model of this car.

The addition of another Transam, (particularly one from overseas) can only be a good thing for the National Sports Sedan Series!

Was speakin to Dean Randle on the weekend regarding his new car, was expecting it to be ready for the 50k plate at PI, and expected the car to be quicker than the old saab with improved aero and allround better build quality, and he also mentioned that Mike Roddy is building a new car based on a new style jag, basically his old car heavily improved now with a vgc tranny and the same v12.... Cant wait for this one...
This model

Or this type????

not too sure...

Thats interesting about the Roddy Jag, will it be a complete new chassis or are they modifying the existing one to fit the Hewland in?

From what i can gather it will be the old chassis modified for the new tranny and body...
