Does anyone know the where abouts of the Monterosso / Newbound Mk 1 Escort or the Mazda R100 ran by Ashley Takwalai in Victoria are they in a shed some where?

It was smashed/ written off, not sure what tip it was, well gone now though... at the time it was running a 13 N/A engine.

I think the escort is in QLD and has been repaired. There is another thread on here about it somewhere. Is the R100 the one that the member of this forum R100 has. Im not sure just suggetions.

I wish I could remember these back further, but I don't have much in the way of records prior to 1993. Crompo?? Smithy, I can't remember whether it was 1999 or 2000 when Warren won it - I'm sure Trent took a Championship win in the following year or was it the other way around? Maybe a discussion point in the lunchroom at MR Automotive tomorrow mate to try and fill in some gaps pre-1995!!

Im 99% sure it was tipped, then they built a new car in record time.

Chris Donnelly has the ex Glen Seton rotary powered Escort in his shed. Definately not an old Monterosso car.

Sean English does have an ex Monterosso Escort sitting in the garage doing nothing. He tipped it on it's roof at QR a few years back. Apparently it is fully repaired but not racing.
