Hello . would like to add another Sports Sedan to your List of closet race cars . Lots of Missing links . It was Lusty Bro VL . It still has the rear CAE q/c and the Mawer wheels of ( which are being replaced ) the Bryan thompson Torana they crashed. Car has been in hands of Nick Girdlestone at Gaven/ Southport for some years undergoing total mechanical an body restructure . Ex Pat Kiwi Wayne Moore , biulder of winning NZ cars has been integral part of design an fabrication . Scott Cooper From Quantum Race Ind is partnering myself in project . . Looking Fwd filling in some missing pieces of history . Car don`t qualify for Historic register . Cams Qld sent enqireys to all listed log book owners on my behalf, but no replys . I was short changed on log book . It may have been 1 of series of VL space frames biult In QLD . A Paul Nielson may have bought it of Lustys first up . Smally

When i bought Paul Neilsons LJ a long long long time ago he had a yellow VL in the shed but i'm pretty sure it was an ex touring car. JD Has a few pics of it in the photo's post around page 4 at E/C.

I heard Cooper was into something in Nicks shed. Could be few more years yet hey at "Nickspeed" !!

The way your engine sounds is unreal, like something straight from Le Mans (before the diesel prototype cars that is :D!)

On another note about cars in sheds does anyone know what's happeing with the Melbourne based Mazda's?
Is the Centreline RX7 fixed yet? What about the Chambers RX7, is the damaged one going again, didn't they have a second car in the pipeline too?

Centreline and Chambers cars from the Sandown crash are due to test at Winton on Friday along with the new Newbound S6 RX7.

All going well these will be at the first Vic State round in a few weeks.

Maybe the Centreline and Chambers cars can be enticed to the U3500NA class at Mallala?

Haha , Nick Speed, What ever , I real happy with car an His work . Lots of smart engineering an design work . picking roller up sunday for more flare work . Nick giving VL shakedown at QR in couple of Mnths. car Had lots of yellow on it at one stage . it also had Momo 025 steer wheel which i sold before i knew it was from John Harveys No 25 Car . Another name which may be linked to car is D Southgate.
