Apart from the engine and the brakes it has standard 6 speed gearbox from a Commodore, off the shelf fibreglass hatch, doors and bonnet, aftermarket off the shelf bolt on suspension bits and a flat bottom on the car. On the weekend they did no suspension adjustments at all just changed from slicks to wets when they needed to.
In the wet Simon put the car on pole with a 1.41 and i think went 1.38 in the dry. The car comes on power too quickly and was frying the tyres after a couple of laps. Simon was saying he probably needs a bigger turbo so the power can come on at lower rpm. Considering he was on P plates in his second meeting he did pretty well. Congatulations to everyone who raced and made for an enjoyable weekend.
Thanks to everyone who helped Simon Pfitzner repair the car after his OFF, Toranaracer's welding skills, The Boys from Barry Bray Racing and a special thanks to John Gourlay for the use of his tool box, Jason, Simon Pods and Neil Burns for their tuning skills.
HERES A COUPLE OF PHOTOS WHEN IT WAS A DRIFT CAR
