We should have a great field at Winton and the Ricciardello / Hossack competition continues with Butler thown in the mix following his great Mallala form.

I think Macready will be much further up the mix as he and Bob McLoughling will overcome the long pedal braking woes experienced at Mallala.

We will see the debut of the awaitied Bryson Mustang in the series and I am sure all the Victorians will want to show the other states how they support the Nationals when they come to town and use their local track knowledge to advantage.

Ive only raced there once back in 04 and in a HQ so I think i'll have a bit to learn on Friday practice

From memory it was in 2004, my first season in the old Mustang and it was a shocker for me as the clutch played up, I lost 2 gears and the exhaust system broke a few times. The truck broke down also so it goes down as my worst weekend racing ever. We had to keep heating the spanners in front of the heater on Sat morning so we could remove the gearbox without getting frost bite.

Darren Hossack cleaned up in the Saab from Tony R and Bernie Gillon in the Mustang from memory. Darren did a 1:20 which is an awesome time.

ahhh yeh i remember that round. we destroyed a wheel bearing and had to drive to melbourne to get one from beninca. that was the debut of our v6 twin turbo.
I remember gillon leaving marks for AGES down the front shute trying to keep up with darren and tony.
if the supercars did 22's on the weekend do you think we may see a 19 from the audi or alfa?

If the parts arrive in time, yeah we'll be there. It's looking good so far, but anything could happen with all those weirdos working for the Post Office... :rolleyes:
