Unfortunately there is a good chance I will have cut the commodore in half
and driving only the front half could be difficult. If that sale does not go through
and there is still a race to enter, I plan to enter.

"most likely a date clash problem with island magic"

Well we have entered for both the Nationals and Island Magic, so we have no date clash problem?

Phast Phil how much more $$ are required to break even?
We would be willing to chip in a bit more to get this final round up and running.
Maybe the 8 of us could make up the difference in exchange for some equal TV on all 8 cars.

Any word Phil on yea or nay for SS at the Island, I'm coming over regardless but would be gutted if my favourite class arnt running, surely the Kerrick round has more Cachet than a state meeting, and any chance to run at the best circuit in Australia should be utilized !!

One of the problems Mopar, and this is by no means the only problem, just one of many, is that our state championship consists of 3 Island rounds. One of which is next weekend (2 weeks prior to the Kerrick round) and the final is Island Magic, which is 3 weeks after the Kerrick round. That's 3 rounds in 5 weeks at the Island. Now for me to run at all 3 (and i'm on negative budget and live 45 minutes away from the track) it's still gonna cost a BARE MINIMUM of $6,000 to run those 3 meetings. That's just for fuel, entries, accomodation and a barbie lunch with a couple of cans for dinner. Tyres all s/h courtesy of Mr Camm..(thanks Deano, if you didn't know before I was stealing your tyres, you do now).. Now, for someone like Neil or Dean, you'd be looking closer to 20k - 30k for those 3 meetings to have a read hot go.

Now I know it's exciting to drive around the Island, but you can do a lot of other exciting things with 30k in 5 weeks. B)

Based on the feedback from the PI entrants, Shannons Nats and Kerrick, we will still be running the Kerrick National round at the Island in November.

Thanks to all of you who backed this decision.

Looks like a cetain black Saab may be appearing also so that lifts the number to 10.

Yep , Gaz your right as usual, 30k in 5 weeks would get you lots of fun, vertical, horizontal and in between!! Just hope that we get a couple of late entries..

Based on only 3 State level cars entering, the Vic State round must be looking at 20+ entries ;)

The Swift Series has somehow survived with less than 10 cars all year..................
