A sad day for the Motorsport Community that's for sure. RIP Jason. Our thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Jason when we had the Tasman Motorsport/Harrop Engineering alliance.
Jason was always willing to ask how my racing was going and have a chat.
A true gentleman who will be sadly missed.

I was hoping it was not the case, there had been news of it earlier on facebook but alot of people had been saying it was a missing man with the same name.... very sad now it is known to be true... Great driver and great personality.... RIP Jason..

I was so disappointed to hear this news, Jason was one of the nicest fellows in motorsport and also one of the best steerers to ever compete in Australia.

I guess we always thought he would recover, his passing is a sad day for the motorsport community and we pass on our condolances to his family and many close friends.

Such a shame the good guys get taken regardless of their ability. RIP Jason and i hope his family is taken care of with the cancer appeals that have been set up. Very sad news and a big reminder these things have no prejudice to anyone and can hit anywhere, anytime and to anyone.
