100% spot on boost... You would get more satisfaction out of beating ricca and hossack due to trying something new on your car that actually worked, rather then have them be restricted with less revs and more weight... Look at butler last year at round 1... He had been running the dunlop 18's for a while where as it was riccas first run on them, and due to ricca not having time on there tyres they had wrong setup compared to butler which allowed him to pass ricca and win the race..

Ricey the only issue a TA2 car would have is the centre windscreen Bar .

Old style TA2

New Style TA2

Don't get me wrong I don't think we should dumb the class down ! I just think we get an easier stepping stone for the new drivers if they wish .

Trans am has quite the mix .

They still have there top class

We run a "Petty Bar" in the Torana which goes from above my head down to the bottom LH corner of the windscreen.
This dramatically changed the characteristics of the car.
From a front on shot it looks like a "Larry Bar".
Not sure if these are the same bar locations in these cars that we have?

I think its probably more a question of who is there to tell us the "larry bar" / "petty bar" is a no go... People will always interpret rules in different ways.

I'm all for the bars don't get me wrong... perhaps now the precedent has been set my supra will end up with one as it does quite alot to the rigidity of the chassis.

Its a bit hard to police something once the horse has bolted. Could you imagine telling an owner of a car to chop a bar out of their chassis.. it would be bedlam!
