General Discussion about CAMS based NSW Sports Sedan Series

This is why I have said time and time again to be careful with one off events.
I understand many competitors desire to compete at the hallowed Bathurst track, however by doing this it has hurt some state competitions and to some smaller degree the National series.
Think long and hard in future, some promotors just want your cash and some fillers for their programme. Support your sustainable state championships and for those wanting more then support the National Kerrick Series.

I have had my final say now so I will go away and leave you to ponder.

Yep and we were in for 2013, even if we had to drive around these potential issues.

yeh torana racer i think 99% of the people who did it last year re- entered and then a few of the 'big guns' were entering too.
I havent spoken to the organiser as to why it officially got pulled but the worry was that not many people were keen for a half
hour race (wouldnt upset me) and that they wanted both races on one day. so if u had a problem over the weekend you had
no real chance to fix it and still get a run.
I think there was 35+ sports sedans entered and thats without asking the v8 touring car guys yet. but alas it hasnt happened after
all the efforts of the sullivans. Big thanks to the sullivans for giving it another crack and doing all the work again to get to that
point.

Bring on phillip island!

MrBoost did you send in your commitment for 2013 (no weddings next year :p)

We did have concerns with the format and ending up with broken cars and annoyed competitors.

This year the 20 minute sessions worked well with minimal car breakages.

That extra 10 minutes could be the difference between happy competitors or smoldering cars.

In the end the correct decision was made which means both State and National Rounds in 2013 will have maximum grids!

Ahh Nadz, gotta love your positivity :(

Why not embrace the efforts being made to promote our category and get the troops to enter.

Hopefully all those who contacted me disappointed that 2013 had been cancelled will now step up.

Now back to counting how many sleeps to go...................

Mate im all for it, im just concerned that due to being told a little while ago that it was no longer a no go, a lot of people who were previously interested may no longer be interested.... 2 weeks isnt a long time to convince those who may have said stick it.... to come and join us up the mount... dont get me wrong i will be up there once again camping for 4 days, this year was a great experience i loved it, just my thought on this matter...
