Various competitors were screaming for an opportunity to race at QR, but predictably haven't followed though. Most of those guys are "keyboard jockeys" who would never race in a Sports Sedan race anyway I guess.

Suffice to say, this year will be the last "cheap National entry" subsidised by the QLD Association for a while!!

Noticed on the entry list no Dameon Jameson and no Dean Camm..... These guys got car problems???

Would have loved to run with the class as a gridfilla but did a test run 22/4/12 and found I only have enough brakes on my historic sports sedan for five laps, so twelve laps is out of the question for me. Good to see former sports sedan front runner Geoff Russell [ex Barry Wraith Torana, ex hdt torana] and father of current development driver Davy Russell having a go in his ex super tourer toyota corolla. The entry list is certainly dissappointing considering the number of quick cars that reside in this part of the world. Is the dinner meeting venue a secret or will it be revealed in time?

Yes, it is disappointing to see so many cars sitting in sheds at the moment. A sign of the times perhaps?

As far as I'm concerned though, the Entry List for the Shannons Round is a quality one, and should put on some excellent racing!! I can't wait!

We usually have a Smith/McLoughlin/Bradford BBQ at our accommodation when we go away interstate. This time it will probably be at one of our houses due to the fact that most of the QLD'ers don't stay out near QR. Still to be decided Gary, but thanks for showing an interest! Might get a bit crowded, but any of the National Series competitors will be more than welcome to attend. No secret dinner meetings, just a get together of the like minded individuals who put in the hard yards to keep the National Series going.
