Well now that Santa has been for another year, who is planning to support the first round for 2013?

We will be dragging the old Torana out for another year, but I need to hunt down that fella in the red suit to find out where all my turbo bits ended up that I had on my wish list............

Looks like the turbo conversion may be delayed until later in the year now :(

I am due to become a grandfather 2 weeks before so I am OK to be there. New engine should arrive mid January and some work to do to fit that and make new primary exhaust tubes. A bit of luck we will get some testing in.
Looking forward to another run at SMP (EC).
Jeff Barnes should be there according to his info that he was coming to kick my butt.
Shane Bradford is on a diet to lose some weight as he reckons that is easier than trying to get it out of the car! He will be there.

Who else is up for it?

I am trying to find a sponsor for the round to run the calibra, so if i can pull that off i shall be there.
If anyone has some decent front 290/625/R16 tyres they would like to sell that would help.
The ones on the car i found next to a bin at mcm 2 years ago (car 42 whoever that is) They were
good enough to keep up with jamo in my first run in the car at smp so some newer tyres and i should
be able to keep up mid pack i hope.

Last year we broke a rear upright and we cannot find a replacement as yet.
Does anyone know where we may be able to find an Indy Car Light rear upright??
Any help would be greatly appreciated as without the upright we will miss the first round.

Thanks

Not 100% sure on the year our uprights are from. Pics wont really help as all the pick up points and caliper brackets have been heavily modified. The cv's run 32 spline, 1 3/8th inch axles, and pretty much as long as the axles will fit we can modify the rest. The centre shaft where the wheels attach is 4.5" long tapering from 2 3/8th " to a 2" thread on the end. It has 6 locating pins, not that this matters too much as we can re-drill the wheels to suit.
Sorry not much help, but they dont look much like they started out at all.
Cheers

whats your email tassie rs ill send you picks of the ones i can get and see if they are similar in any way.
Most indy cars run tripod axles so you probably wont find any that take a spline unless they are really old

Have you tried Bob Gill?
He did have some old Indy Car uprights for sale a while ago.
Let me know if you need his contact details.

Or try Simon Pfitzner at PPG, he can manufacture them. He made Kerry Bailys replacement uprights for ther 300ZX following his Mallala crash in 2010.
