Well it was great to drive a full lap around the mount at speed but things didn't exactly go to plan for the weekend. Practice and qualifying I had a hose pop in each so I did my qualifying laps as a naturally aspirated. No boost at all. Then race one the alternator let go. So I didn't make it to the grid. And after the return fuel line spit we all know what happened in race two. Good news is that I'm fine and the car has some burnt wiring and hoses but over all as just a big mess. It shouldn't be to big a job to get it going again. I'm glad I opened the passenger door and sprayed in there as the fire was right on top of the fuel tank! I'll post my footage up soon.

Firstly a BIG thank you to Sean and his family for putting this event together.

Yep our Bathurst voodoo continued this year :(

We have the engine out and it appears to have injested something which has made a nice mess of #6 piston and bore.

At least our temperature issues from last year were all sorted!

Just means we will need to go back again in 2014 to redeem ourselves.

C'mon Sean we are sure you can make this happen ;)

At least my -16 dry sump fitting finished 7th in the 12 Hour fitted to a Ferrari.

How will they explain that back in Italy, a Folden part on a Ferrari!!!!

Also well done to Chris Muscat and the Centreline crew for being the first Sports Sedan home in third place for the weekend (and the best sounding up on top of the mountain).

Wow! What a weekend of racing. I was loving the sports sedans over the top of the mountain and heading through the chase. The spectators that were on site all loved them. They commented about all the different sounds, the big wings and slicks.

The field looked amazing as they flew down the mountain into the chase. Why can't we always get these size grids??!!!!

How wicked is the Silver Bullet Rx7 (first time in person for me!). Man he goes deep under brakes into the chase.

Honorable mention to the guy steering the red rx7 S4. Looked like a suped up road car but it kept a few quicker cars honest. Must be able to steer pretty well that's all i have to say.

I was on the spot when Chris Jackson had a fire in the braking area of the chase. I was hoping the fibreglass wouldn't catch alight aswell. He dodged that bullet luckily! Video will be uploaded soon.

Super lucky there Proey, The fire marshals were dragging their feet all weekend which was a shame. Thankfully you had your head screwed on and got onto it asap.

The actual Bathurst 12 hour race was unreal. The difference in lap time from the fastest car to the slowest was in the vicinity of 40 seconds! It made for unreal racing. The weather also played a part as there was sun, rain, wind, sun, rain.... For my first time seeing cars race at Bathurst it blew my socks off.

Back to the shed to finish the car :)

videos to come.... there's quite a few!

Your positivity Toranaracer is unquestionable.

Unlucky too Proey. I think I got a few pics of you and hopefully my mate grabbed some better ones. Will go through them and post.

Not going to complain about the ex supercars, if you have positions available you fill them which ever way you can.

Here is my race two. Had a good view of the crash. Loser thanks for the tip. I washed it off today. 2JZSS when I looked up and saw the poor old fire marshal struggling I knew I had to put it out my self! The paramedics were great. Almost the hi light of the weekend. And no I was not the cause of the pits and control centre needing to be evacuated.

Don't want to accuse the wrong person, but doesn't it look suspiciously like the car that hit the Cox Saab in Race 3.

What I find hilarious there is the big No Smoking sign in the foreground while Chris is firing through the shot with the Calibra doing its best space shuttle impersonation...
