Here are a couple more. These are from Winton 2000. There were 4 in that race.

Ron Newbounds

Ivan Mikac's

Bruce DeBoo's

Richard Catchlove's

Hmm so how does Ron's and Bruce's fit into the scheme of things??

About 10 years ago there was a small article in Fast Fours and Rotaries magazine about
those two cars.
Bruce Deboo's car still used the series 4 RX7 floor pan and had a 13B turbo motor and thankfully it was quiet unlike his previous rotary powered Isuzu Bellet that was a headache inducer as soon as he cranked it over!!!
The other car was I am pretty sure the Newbound one. It had a full tube frame chassis with a naturally aspirated 13B engine. The chassis didn't look like your typical Go Gear setup (don't think it had a Hewland either for that matter) so I am not sure who built it.
If I can dig up the magazine I will scan it and post it.

See if you can dig it up would like to see it, I have the majority of Fast Fours magazines up until when they thought the stickers became more important than the cars.......

I dont think anyone has covered these...Correct me if im wrong

Graeme Gillilands car im not sure about, he had an accident earlier this year at Phillip Island, it was yellow when he debuted it (pic above) and then he painted it orange. It look similar to Carlings bodywork.

Richard Catchlove had 2 RX7's, the earlier one was powered by a 13B, thats the #23 and racefix liveried car. As far as I know this was sold to Bill Emeny who never raced it and was for sale a while back...the rest was covered. The second car is 'The Rotary Shop' car which ran a NA 20B and was superquick just before he sold it, not sure where it went to? Back to WA?

Centreline RX7's, The silver one Chris Muscat owns and raced was probably the fastest NA20B in Aus? which ran with Youlden at the wheel on a few occasions. This car still resides in Muscats hands but never appears. Luke Chambers car was the Rod Newbound RX7 which the Chambers family bought and have run ever since with a 20B, the car of course is now Yellow. This car is pretty active at a state level.

Luke McPherson's car was pretty active a few years back however they put it up for sale and hasnt been seen since, last I knew it was a 13B Turbo??? Don't know if it was sold

Thats all I got...

Good work, as I have said before with so many of those RX7s getting around its hard to keep track of who is running what!!!

As for the fastest NA 20Bs it would have to be either the Centreline RX7 or Ivan Mikac's RX7 in my opinion, although I am sure if Go Gear wheeled one out with a 20B it would be in contention too.

Thanks 2002Turbo, I could tell what issue the first article was from as soon as I saw it (The issue with the Pulsars on the cover).

Damm straight that Isuzu was loud, sure resident noise complaints increase everytime it ran at Oran Park. I am pretty sure there was a pic of it in a FF&R. Will post it tonight.
