Things have been quiet on the forum for a while so I would like to find out if anyone is thinking of building a new car, if they need one built for them, do they need designs, or some components?
What do people need for their new cars? I can design and build just about everything if you need it.
I am looking at designing modules for making builds easier. Front Crossmember and suspension, Rear crossmember and suspension, Central Chassis. What else would help people build new cars? let me know.
I am currently building a floorpan car it isn't super impressive like most builds as it's my first attempt. The builds slow but it is picking up speed hopefully I will get to drive it mid next year.
It's a Nissan Silvia s13
It doesn't look like much at the moment but I'm hoping to have the fabrication work done by December.
It's an s13 silvia
It will be running a 6L L98 Race Motor, with Jenvey throttle bodies, Dry sump etc. The Aim is 700bhp on pump fuel.
I originally chose the LS motor over a nascar motor due to weight concerns, the original plan was to run the motor in the factory Silvia Position. As you can see I got bored and decided to mid mount it so in hindsight a nascar motor would of been cheaper to build and made more power but that's alright i'll have more than enough to begin with anyway.
It's running a 6 speed H pattern Holinger, Speedway engineering Quick change Diff.
I will be running the factory rear subframe Frame all be it modified to suit the diff, and factory front suspension or atleast the factory suspension type anyway.
Still a long list of things to do and an even longer list of things I need to buy.
Unfortunately the suspension will let the car down but I can always upgrade in the future once the cars running. At this stage the plan is to get out on the track and worry about the fact that it isn't quick enough later.
Yep especially since I can't get 710's under the rear it's just too much work to make them work. Unfortunately it would mean I would need to raise my subframe 1-2 inches to maintain optimum suspension geometry.
I think to begin with I'm going to take a risk and run 280/645/18's all round it will keep my spend down by about 5k which is important at this point, if its a complete pig ill go to the effort of the 710.
If you would like to see better quality photos my Facebook is Lachlan Rae I update it from time to time I'm still getting the hang of Facebook I'm 23 and wouldn't have a clue how it works.
