The last time we saw the Sierra was at our Victorian 30th anniversary at Sandown many years ago.
Mike bought the car down, put it on display and put it back into storage where i believe it still is today.

Damain.

I still have not been able to work out exactly whose Jag this was. I only ever recall there being a total of 3 XJS Jags racing and I don't this is any of them.
1) Trenoweth's Original Unipart Jag that is running in historics
2) Trenoweth's Colourbond Jag (Fluro orange) that debuted at E'Creek in the early 90's and then became Roddy's car,
3) Gary Willmingtons Jag.

Anyone else shed any light on this car. Looks pretty impressive in the pic.

I have an article in a magazine that says this XJS was built up fresh from parts stripped from John McCormack's Ansett Charger. A guy by the name of Craig Marsland had purchased the Charger from Peter Finch who had bought it from Dave Ferrall who had bought it from Don Elliot(Elfin) who had bought it from McCormack. He was going to race the Charger but in the end stripped it of its running gear and sold the Charger to some known as RC as a shell only. What you have in the picture above is the car that Craig Marsland built from the Chargers running gear. it never ran and was sold on. Does anyone know where it is now.

Craig Marsland resided in Western Australia at the time. Apparently the engine bits including the fuel injection are now on a Celica Sports Sedan in NSW that was originally built in Tasmania. I can recall going to a guys place .....i think his name was Bob Gill to look at a Commodore Sports Sedan he had for sale and him telling me he had purchased an XJS which is what he always wanted and one had come up cheap so he had purchased it. Not sure but this may be the car.........??????????????????????????/

I remember one of the Lusty Brothers driving a Celica in the early 80's and i reckon the name Bob Gill was associated with one as well. I think it was like the first shape Celica and was red in colour. This maybe why the injection is on the Celica, maybe its Bob Gill that owned the Celica and the Jag as well. Just a guess.!!!!!!

JD i found some info about a Graeme Lusty driving a Celica Chev and his brother John driving an LJ Torana Chev in the 1982 GT Championship....you may have some photos of the Celica from that year.
