Haha the original "Buzz Box"!!!
Surely a unique car, up there with the Hillman Imp I saw about 17 years ago at a supersprint that had a rotary in it!

Here is a clip of what I personally think the wildest Sports Sedan ever built. Dick Wards Rotary powered Fiat Abarth.

If it was painted yellow then it more then likely is the same car. Only ever saw it on that one occasion a very long time ago so the memory of it is pretty vague.
Yeah the Fiat is pretty crazy! I wonder how it would go on the circuit, the bigger cars would more then likely bash it around, a bit like pinball!

There is another Dick Ward S4 for sale in Auto Action this week. Owned by Issy?

Looking over at Natsoft it appears the Centreline RX7 had a run at super sprint at Phillip Island last weekend:

Closed Racing Cars 2501cc
1. 99 Australian Sports Sedans Chris Muscat Mazda RX7 3500 J S25 1:39.8987*

Phillip Island Super Sprint

Rotorboi,
you've got 9 months to hassle him to run in the 50K plate later in the year, he better be there!

I was just reading an article about the Greg and Colin Schwenke series 4 RX7 it says the car was originally built by a guy by the name of Barry Campbell for Keith Carling in the early 90's with a naturally aspitated 13B. It was later purchased by John Keene to run in selected sports sedan races and he had Keith Carling driving when he had a huge accident at Amaroo Park. The car was sold in damaged condition to a guy in Melbourne who had fitted bigger brakes new panels etc. The motor was a standard 13B Turbo which was damaged and that is the way the Schwenkes bought it. It does'nt say who the guy in Melbourne was or if it did run.
