Phast Phil, just for you we will make it a little LOUDER!!!!!
We left just after the second race disappointed that our reliability and championship target for the weekend had not been achieved. :(
We found the extra lift on the camshaft exposed the main oil gallery to the sump by about 10 thou per lifter.
This finally explained why the pressure would drop away as the oil temp increased.
Yet another suprise we have found in the development of our Folden engines.
In our rush to get the car finished for the first race we overlooked putting the wiring plug back onto the oil pressure warning for the dash.
By the time I saw the mechanical gauge it was all too late......................
I am not game to add up the numbers for this urgent replacement because if Andrea found it I would be in BIG trouble.
Next time we talk we can play a game of "The Price Is Right"..........higher, higher...... ;)
